Jersey Shore - Key West was my favorite breakfast spot until today.


We walked up and got seated promptly. I ordered corned beef hash with poached eggs. My home fries and poached eggs that came out with my wifes Belgian waffle that looked delicious, all covered in fruit and whipped cream. The waitress said my corned beef would be a moment. Now, I eat corned beef often throughout the country and it does take some time if prepared properly, however the crap that I got was a pile of mush that came from a can. I ate the eggs, home fries, and toast. The wife finished the waffle. I brought my 3 year old son to the bathroom to wash his sticky hands and got met with a large, and I mean 50+, drain flies. Being educated in pest control and food environments, this denotes a bad sanitation issue. I will not be back and will let all sites I use know about this place. So let me start by saying I was riding a disability scooter and went Bustin in the place almost wrecked the hostess stand. I was SOOO embarrassed!!! They were as kind as could be. Not a tourist trap. Great food, great service and selection, plus a quaint atmosphere!!!

 


Key West Cafe has also begun serving dinners, with a variety of appetizers and entree selections from Italian and Seafood to County Home Cooking. Not a tourist trap. Come on in and try their featured item, Stuffed French Toast with cinnamon baked apples and cream. Being educated in pest control and food environments, this denotes a bad sanitation issue. Example: There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that it is nothing short of genius.
